Behind the resources
Sources, assumptions
and corrections.
These guides and calculators are published by Nnomi to explain financial ideas and help you explore your own assumptions. They do not assess your circumstances or recommend a financial product.
Who writes and checks this material?
We use AI-assisted research, drafting and software development. Before release, a separate AI reviewer checks the sources, financial methodology and calculations, and automated tests check the software. This is not a review by a licensed financial adviser or a claim of human expert approval.
How we use sources
We prioritise primary material from RBI, SEBI and official government publications. Links beside factual explanations point to the supporting pages or documents. Our worksheets and household examples are original illustrations, not accounts of real customers or official prescriptions. No occupation, age or salary is assumed to be a requirement for managing money.
How the calculators work
The emergency fund tool multiplies essential monthly expenses by the number of months you choose, then compares that target with savings you have allocated to emergencies. The inflation tool compounds a cost at a constant annual assumption for a whole number of years. Each tool explains its limits and includes a worked example. We check the formulas against independently derived examples and test zero, invalid and large inputs.
Values are calculated locally in the browser without registration or account connections. Inputs and results are not sent to Nnomi or saved automatically. Printing is optional and uses your browser’s print dialog; you control any paper or PDF copy.
Dates and changes
Publication dates identify when resources were first released. We update a guide’s change date when its substance changes, not when the website is rebuilt. A source’s publication date and the date we checked it are different. Hypothetical inflation assumptions are not current forecasts.
Report an error
Email hello@nnomi.com with the page address and the statement or calculation you think is wrong. Please do not include account numbers, statements or other private financial details. A confirmed error should be corrected in the resource and recorded with its updated date. We do not promise a response time.
What these resources cannot decide
They cannot choose your emergency coverage, predict inflation, determine investment suitability or replace advice that considers your circumstances. A result is only as useful as the inputs and assumptions behind it. The financial-coaching product remains in development; the guides and calculators are available now.
